In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, our organization is dedicated to providing essential aid and support to those in need. We are committed to ensuring that vulnerable individuals have access to clean drinking water, nutritious food, and safe shelter. By working together, we can help rebuild lives and communities affected by this devastating storm.
New Thomson United Methodist Church welcomed Inspiritus in partnership with UMCOR to White Oak United Methodist Church Campground where a base camp has been established to house specially trained disaster recovery volunteers. These volunteers have the knowledge, experience and capacity to respond to urgent needs of the most vulnerable populations in our community. The first UMCOR ERT team reported Wednesday morning and immediately assisted with removing a tree from the home of a displaced 91 year old woman.
